Secret Santa

Three, five centimeter, sand-filled fish ornaments I made for the annual "Has to be handmade!" Julklapp at the University. They turned out to be a success and I'll make a larger one today, from whats left of the fabric, for a sea-loving family member for Christmas.

Whatchamacallit IV

Oh boys,

their lips

their forearms

their jawlines

their hips.

I feel like

surf-riding .

Tiny Etsian Feature: I

Apart from the fact that I'm deeply fond of anything watery, this shop is a delight. It's strenght definitely lies in the frequently updated jewelry collection, which looks just how anyone would imagine the shores and spirit of hawaii to be. Most materials such as coral, shells, urchins and seaweed, are collected on the beaches of Maui by Brooke, the maker and shopowner. They are then made into unhasty colourful little pieces that breathe water, sun and summer. The shop, established on Etsy in April 2012, also offers self-printed shirts with bright seaborne motives for beach-day purposes, (or temperatures exceeding 25°C, if you want to wear them away from the beach). Apart from the single items, the whole shop appearance is just fitting the theme with it's light colour palette pictures and fair-haired women wearing the pieces and the constant presence of the ocean and beaches. Be sure to check it out (with a click on the banner), Ahuiho!

Arrival in Denmark

This morning I've been woken by a gentle brise
and slightly moving curtains.
As I poked out the window,
I could see the sun tickeling
the calm awaiting Sea.
The smell of coffee tiptoed up the stairs,
accompanied by cheerful morning-chattering.
